How to set up private channel forwarding

Common questions

Can AutoForward access channels I joined but didn't create?
Yes. AutoForward acts as your Telegram account. If your account can read the channel in your Telegram app, AutoForward can read it too — whether you're an admin, a regular member, or a subscriber.
Will the source channel know I'm forwarding their content?
AutoForward reads messages the same way your Telegram app does — it appears as normal read activity. The source channel owner cannot tell the difference between a human reading and AutoForward reading.
Is this against Telegram's Terms of Service?
AutoForward uses the official MTProto API, which Telegram provides for third-party clients. Using it for personal automation at reasonable volumes is within Telegram's acceptable use. You are responsible for complying with any rules set by the channels you read from.
What happens if the private channel restricts forwarding?
If a channel has restricted forwarding at the Telegram level (the "restrict saving content" setting), AutoForward will still receive the message — but forwarding will appear as a regular message repost rather than a Telegram "forward". Content editing and filters still apply.
